The Staff of Life has been making fresh, healthy, and tasty food for the people of Santa Cruz for over 40 years. There have been many changes, and in July of 2009 we welcomed our new chef, Deanna, to lead the kitchen. She has put her heart and 30 years of culinary experience into broadening the quality of foods we now serve in our Deli. Although we have many of the same standbys you've enjoyed for years, Chef Deanna has expanded the variety and quality of our hot soup, salad, hot bar, and cold case offerings.
Staff of Life Kitchen uses only the freshest ingredients mainly from local vendors including organic produce from Watsonville, meat and fish from our in-house Meat Department including free-range chicken, grass fed beef, and wild or sustainably farmed seafood, all seasoned with fresh organic herbs, and spices.
Our bakery continues to improve upon their selection of fresh made Breads, Pastries, Pies, and Pizza, with options for many diets including vegan and gluten-free.
